At the beginning of August, Lauren Michelle Levesque participated in the IF 2020 online improvisation festival (https://improvfest.ca) with a short audio-visual piece titled Sounds in Small Places. The submission was recorded on a cellphone and documented the interplay of sound and light experienced through the windows and doors of a small, 500 square foot city apartment.

The piece was created through impromptu listening captured during the COVID-19 restrictions. It expressed the longing to move beyond a particular space and the beauty that can be noticed therein.
